The short version: Word Tack doesn’t collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There’s no account and no tracking, and everything you do in the app stays on your device.
This policy reflects the current version of Word Tack. The app may be updated over time; if our privacy practices ever change, we’ll update this page and the “Last updated” date above. It’s written to be readable rather than legalese — but it’s complete, and it matches how the app actually behaves.
What we collect
Nothing. Word Tack does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information about you. This aligns with a “Data Not Collected” App Privacy label on the App Store.
No account, ever
There is no account, no login, and no sign-up. You don’t give us your name, email, or any other identifier to play. Just open the app and start sorting tiles.
Where your game data lives
All of your game data is stored locally on your device using the system’s standard storage. That includes your:
- Level progress and three-star solves
- Scores and play statistics
- Stamps and any shop purchases (tape palettes, tile papers, confetti)
- Settings and preferences
- Daily Puzzle history and streaks
This information never leaves your device, and we never see it. If you delete the app, this locally stored data is removed along with it.
No network requests, fully offline
Word Tack makes no network requests for gameplay and works completely offline. You can play on a plane, on the subway, or anywhere with no signal — nothing is sent anywhere because the game doesn’t need the internet to run.
No analytics, ads, or third-party tracking
There are no analytics tools, no advertising, and no third-party tracking SDKs in Word Tack. We don’t build a profile of you, and there are no trackers quietly running in the background.
Sharing your daily result
When you choose to share your Daily Puzzle result, the app hands a spoiler-free emoji grid to your device’s system share sheet. You decide where it goes — Messages, a notes app, a social post, wherever. The app doesn’t post or send anything on its own, and it has no idea where you sent it.
Children
Word Tack collects no data from anyone — including children. Because the app gathers no personal information at all, there is nothing collected from kids, parents, or any other player.
